FIVE GREAT TIPS FOR SHOOTING VIDEOS OF CHILDREN
Make videos of your children all the time, when they are smiling, laughing, running around, dancing, reading, eating, swimming or playing games.
Having your child’s video is to have a wonderful treasure that could last for ever.
Record milestones: Your child’s first words or first steps, their first birthday party – you and they will be able to watch it over and over again, and it will bring cherished moments back.
Show them to your kids when they grow up: It’s a special feeling to see what one looked like when they were young. They will see all the love you gave them when they were growing up. And it will make you young again!
And here are five tips for making a great video of your children:
Tip No. 1: Get down on their level so you can catch the right angle and record their voices properly.
Tip No. 2: Do not overuse the zoom as it can make the movie unclear and unsteady.
Tip No. 3: Talk only if you must give important explanations or ask a question. There is nothing worse than having somebody talking all the time in a family video.
Tip No. 4: Ask one of the children to use the camera and shoot what they like. This will give an interesting perspective to the video. And it will be their own masterpiece!
Tip No. 5: If it is going to be a special event, think in advance what you want to say with your footage. And how you want to do it. Improvisations are important, but do not rely on improvisations only – plan, have a strategy.
And you will get a wonderful video!
